Sistering and Motion Clothing present the 13th annual Funny Girls & Dynamic Divas, a comedy and music cabaret. The evening will be hosted by leading Funny Girl Elvira Kurt on May 21 at the Glenn Gould Studio,  in Toronto.

You will enjoy the comedic talent of legend Sandra Shamas, great music and incredible songs by R&B diva Jully Black, the worldly song styles of jazz songstress Amanda Martinez, and this year’s Juno Award winner soprano saxophonist, flautist Jane Bunnett. And for more wonderful diva power, you can hear more music from Molly Johnson, Divine Brown, Sarah Slean, Shakura S’Aida, Saidah Baba Talibah and Liberty Silver. Definitely, a stellar line-up.

The event will begin at 6pm on May 21 with a reception of complimentary hors d’oevres provided by some of the finest local eateries. This year’s silent auction and pop up boutique will provide a variety of art and lifestyle packages. Performances will begin at 7:30pm. During the intermission dessert will be served.

Sistering is an organization that has been supporting homeless, under-housed and low-income women in Toronto since 1981. Their main services include basic needs for daily living, housing assistance, counseling, advocacy and self-employment programs. Supporting services for women are needed not only in Toronto, but throughout the country. The work Sistering has been doing for decades is a cause worth of celebration.
