Dutch premium lager, Grolsch, introduces Grolsch Open House – an outdoor public lounge space during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. Taking place over Opening Weekend (September 6 – 9), this open house will feature eclectic entertainment, innovative art installations, delectable eats from Toronto’s artisanal food truck community and refreshing Grolsch Premium Lager. Grolsch Open House will be positioned in the heart of all TIFF action, taking over the corner lot at Pearl & John Streets.
Musical performances will include Montreal-based, Gothenburg Sweden sensation Holy Family; a performance by multi-instrumentalist and Broken Social Scene co-founder Brendan Canning; and retro-inspired Michael Rault, who will perform with the young Toronto collective The Heavyweights Brass Band, creating a unique garage soul experience.
Internationally exhibited artist, Paul Aloisi, will construct a one-of a kind art installation for Grolsch Open House that will reflect various aspects of the event and the space. Writer and photographer Christopher Moloney’s whimsical FILMography pieces – matching scenes from movies with their real life, present day locations – will also be featured at Grolsch Open House.
