T.O. WebFest, Canada’s biggest celebration of digital content creators is returning for a 7th year. T.O. WebFest has moved to a digital platform for from July 9 to the 13, 2020.
With 81 official selections representing 32 countries, the shut down of theatres across Canada has not slowed the T.O. WebFest one bit. The digitally savvy organization was able to pivot quickly to an online format.
T.O. WebFest’s programming spans multiple categories, featuring everything from drama and comedy, to documentary, children’s series and horror.
This year’s selections include many notable web series, including How to Buy A Baby, Season 2, Mouvement Deluxe Season 3, Nevernight, and Bit Playas featuring a cameo from Canadian news icon, Peter Mansbridge, who appears in one of the episodes.
The festival’s industry series is also moving to an online format. Filmmakers from around Canada and across the globe will be able to participate in panels, workshops and virtual industry meetings through the T.O. WebFest’s digital platform from July 10 – 12.
