Amish Famous is a solo sketch musical, starring Spencer Glassman, about an Amish girl who defies her Bishop father by leaving home to audition for American Idol.
The story is told from the point of view of the detective investigating her disappearance.
Spencer Glassman is a comedy writer, performer and director from Toronto. Her short films have played various festivals including BFI Future Film and Inside Out. She has also been performing in comedy clubs and festivals all over North America.
Amish Famous is her second solo show premiering at this year’s Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.

TOSketchFest is Toronto’s longest-running comedy festival celebrates its 21st anniversary.
Performances for Amish Famous will take place on Thursday, March 5 and Saturday, March 14 at the Comedy Bar Bloor Cabaret.
