Hot Docs has partnered with a few Toronto organization in order to make the Festival more accessible and to reach new audiences.
Hot Docs has partnered Culture Link and the Institute for Canadian Citizenship to offer their clients, who are newcomers to Canada or new Canadian citizens, free tickets to select Festival screenings. If you are a member of these organizations, please contact them directly for more information about obtaining Festival tickets.
The Festival has also partnered with the Toronto Public Library Sun Life Financial Museum + Arts Pass program to offer Toronto Public Library cardholders a limited number of passes for select Festival screenings. On Saturday, April 22, a limited number of Hot Docs Festival passes can be checked out on a first-come, first-served basis at the following 10 branches:

- Black Creek
- Cedabrae
- Downsview
- Evelyn Gregory
- Flemington Park
- Jane Dundas
- Northern Elms
- Parkdale
- Parliament
