Director Fernando Guzzoni‘s latest feature, BLANQUITA, is Chile’s Official Oscar entry for 2022 for International Best Film Category.
The film is inspired by the real-life early 2000s Spiniak Case involving a controversial child prostitution ring which provided services to a number of high-placed politicians and businessmen in Chile. The case divided the Chilean population as it went through the courts, with doubts being cast on the testimony of key witness who was herself caught up in the ring as a minor and accused two senators of abusing her.

An interactive, multi-screen narrative experience created by filmmaker and multi-media artist Naomi Jaye, MIRIAM’S WORLD takes over Theatre Passe Muraille’s Mainspace from December 9-18 and features Pamela Palsat, Isai Rivera Blas, Scott Clarkson, Pascale Couderc, Tarick Glancy, Adrian Griffin, Gloria Mampuya, Brian Rhodes, and Pete Smith.

Chanda Dancy is an artist and composer for film and other multimedia projects. She has been a fellow of the 2009 Sundance Film Composers Lab, and a winner of the 2002 BMI Pete Carpenter Fellowship for Aspiring Film Composers and the 2004 APM/YMF Music Business Award.
Her composing work includes music for the hit Netflix TV Original THE DEFEATED starring Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights), and most recently, the Korean War era epic DEVOTION starring Jonathan Majors (Da 5 Bloods, Loki).

Gigi Saul Guerrero is a Mexican filmmaker and actress. She graduated with Honors with a B.A. in Motion Picture Production from Capilano University. Her career started early with several short films including, Dia De Los Muertos, Madre de Dios, and Bestia.
Gigi is also the co-founder of Luchagore Productions, which allowed her to work on projects that were passion projects and hone in her filmmaking style. She gained recognition for creating and directing the 2017 horror web series, La Quinceañera.
