Longhope Media Inc. and OMNI Television has announced that Season 3 of the hit satirical sketch comedy series ABROAD returns to OMNI 2, OMNI BC and OMNI Alberta, this weekend.

Co-created by and starring Filipina comedian Isabel Kanaan, ABROAD is a multi Canadian Screen Award nominated series with six, 30 minute episodes in English and Tagalog based on the immigrant experience in Canada.

Since ABROAD premiered in 2022, sketches have gone viral around the world with over 32 million views on Instagram and over 1.9 million views on TikTok.

Loosely based on Isabel’s experience immigrating to Canada as a teenager, ABROAD presents a humorous look at how immigrants think, perceive and deal with living in Canada. The show features hilarious send-ups of social issues, tech trends, celebrity culture, and family dynamics with over the top characters including fan favourite Passive Aggressive Mama, and Kanaan’s unforgettable Manny Pacquiao impression.

Isabel and I spoke a few weeks back in lead up to this season’s premiere. She shares some great insights about the show and what is coming up in Season 3.

Returning alongside Isabel Kanaan in season 3 are Justin Santiago, Nicco Lorenzo Garcia, Joy Castro and Aldrin Bundoc. Season 3 of the show will also feature Byron Abalos, Jon Blair, Sharjil Rasool, Christian Smith, and Jillian Welsh.

Season 3 of ABROAD will premiere on Sunday, May 26 at 8:30pm on OMNI 2, OMNI BC and OMNI Alberta.
