Iris Bahr is an award-winning writer, actor, director, producer and host of the hit X-Rae and Near Death podcasts. She has written and performed six solo shows.
Her most recent show, Stories from The Brink, premiered in Montreal and won the 2024 Frankie Storytelling Award. She is now coming to Toronto with her other show, See You Tomorrow, which was nominated for the 2024 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding New play.
See You Tomorrow looks at long distance relationship between a mother and daughter. When her mother is confronted with an emergency, Iris must navigate the life-and-death situation through a screen. Days later, Iris finds herself relocating across the globe overnight to parent her parent.
I was able to sit in the ‘virtual room’ with Iris a few days ago. Here is what Iris shared about her work and See You Tomorrow.
