TIFF came and went in a whirlwind… This year, I had the opportunity to screen various films from Canada and around the world. I enjoyed the energy of the festival again and also meeting new filmmakers and other artists bringing their work to us.
Once the festival ends after 10 days, I always find it difficult to create a list of ‘favourites’. Nonetheless, sharing the breakdown of my final tally of films seen and a list of my personal faves, as I like to call them.

The TIFF Docs programme is one I often support each year I attend the festival. Documentaries have a way to get us to learn and discuss topics that can be sensitive, infuriating and at times quite difficult yet necessary to address.
At TIFF this year, I watched two documentaries covering the war in Ukraine. Below is a brief summary of each and some thoughts I would like to share with you.

Doodles, a character-driven universe and next-generation entertainment company, together with Pharrell Williams, officially premiered ‘Dullsville and The Doodleverse,’ a musical animation experience, at an event that took place during the Toronto International Film Festival at Toronto’s Design Exchange in the historic Toronto Stock Exchange building.
