Thought it was more than overdue time to bring back my Theatre Crawl listings. Herein, I have compiled a few performances taking place in Toronto over the next few weeks.

TIFF has announced Canada’s Top Ten, the country’s top 10 feature films and top 10 shorts of 2024, honouring the best in Canadian cinema.
Many of these films have premiered at last year’s TIFF or other festivals. All films are recommended, however, I have curated a list of films that I hope you make it out to.

SONG FOR NO ONE is the directorial debut from actor-turned-writer/director Liam Ma (Cruel Intentions).
From his apartment in Brooklyn, Gene (Giullian Yao Gioiello) hosts an independent radio show to platform his music in hopes of one day finding a dedicated audience. Instead, his radio show reaches his recently deceased mother, Sook-Ja (Felice Choi), in the afterlife, through a radio powered by the stationary bikes that Sook-Ja and her interpreter, Han Sol (Stella Kim), ride each day.
Rendezvous with Madness (RWM) is the first and largest arts and mental health festival in the world. The 32nd edition of the festival presents 10 feature films and 3 short programs. As always, films screenings are complemented by thought-provoking post-screening Q&As and curated panel discussions, extending the uniquely meaningful conversations that define Rendezvous With Madness.
The first all Indigenous and all Canadian stand-up comedy feature film Rez Comedy begins its theatrical this weekend in Toronto.
Eight diverse Indigenous comics from all over Canada come together for a set connected by the Squamish nation and host comic Keith Nahanee (Squamish Nation, BC), star of Comedy Invasion, Canadian Screen Awards 2024 winner for Best Comedy Special.

Aluna Theatre presents its 6th edition of the RUTAS International Performing Arts Festival this month. For two weeks, RUTAS will present a variety of theatre and dance performances, installations, workshops, and a three day gathering in partnership with Factory Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, York University, Hemispheric Encounters, and the Canadian Latinx Theatre Artist Coalition (CALTAC).
