Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) will close their 2018/19 season with the critically acclaimed duet Marienbad, created and performed by TDT Artistic Director Christopher House and writer/theatre-maker/multimedia artist Jordan Tannahill.
Contemporaneity 3.0 is a new presenting series by Anandam Dancetheatre in partnership with Toronto Dance Theatre, featuring new works and works-in-progress by artists practicing in Asian, African, Latin American, Arab and Indigenous dance forms. Contemporaneity 3.0 features dance pieces by Nova Dance (Toronto), Mix Mix Dance Collective (Toronto), and Padmini Chettur (India).

Artistic Director Esmeralda Enrique founded her award-winning Esmeralda Spanish Dance Company as well as her school, the Academy of Spanish Dance, in 1982 in Toronto, and thus began her journey of cementing her reputation as Canada’s premiere flamenco artist.
Toronto Masque Theatre’s (TMT) season of desire & transformation continues with a double bill of two very different explorations of love & loss, obsession & heartbreak: one a dramatic cantata from the 18th century, the other a popular19th-century melodrama. This double bill of love & loss will feature Handle’s Baroque dramatic cantata Apollo & Daphne and Richard Strauss’s Romantic melodrama Enoch Arden.
SummerWorks 2016 was great fun this year. The festival’s array of theatre, music, dance and live art truly showed the diversity in art and artists we have locally, and abroad. The lists of Award Winners and Honourable Mentions certainly proves this.
