Pioneers in devised theatre incorporating movement, live music, interactive design, and media work, Theatre Gargantua is a leading multi-disciplinary theatre company. Jacquie P.A. Thomas, one of Canada’s longest-serving female Artistic Directors, founded Theatre Gargantua in 1992. Alongside with Michael Spence and other artists, Thomas has made Theatre Gargantua an artist-driven company that produces ground-breaking works in two-year cycles.

Nightwood Theatre and Crow’s Theatre have partnered up this season to bring us Rose Napoli‘s latest play to the stage: Lo (Or Dear Mr. Wells). Premiering at Crow’s Theatre this past weekend, and running until November 11, 2017, Lo… is a feminist retake on a student-teacher relationship, wrestling with sexuality and consent, literature and passion, right and wrong.

The 5th annual One More Night Festival, a one-night only remount of 11 successful productions, over the course of 5 days is fully underway.
The festival includes shows from all genres: comedies, musicals, one-woman-shows, and even a whodunnit. All of them have had rave reviews, standing ovations, awards, and/or sold-out houses. Celebrating the only Canadian stop of the exhibition Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) presents two late-night film series at Jackman Hall. The Films of Guillermo del Toro, running until November 24, 2017. The series honours del Toro’s body of work with screenings of 5 of his key film works.
Nightmare on Dundas Street Movie Night will screen the 10 most terrifying films of all time, as selected by Guillermo del Toro, running every Friday at 10pm — running until December 8, 2017. READ MORE
Set before the rise of Black Lives Matter, and inspired by interviews conducted with individuals in Toronto and Halifax, Other Side of the Game is a time-spanning work that tells the story of silenced Black women who organize communities, protect loved ones, battle institutions, and live each day by a ride-or-die philosophy. This first-time partnership between Cahoots Theatre and Obsidian Theatre also marks the professional playwriting debut for Amanda Parris.

Similar to Hogwart’s with its 18th century architecture, Headfort has secret doors and beautiful woodlands.
